Your documents stay on your device

Everything you create in ezDone, including scans, imported files, signatures, recognized text and folders, is stored only on your device, inside the app. We have no servers that receive your documents, and we cannot see them.

Documents leave your device only when you export or share them, for example to Files, Mail or another app. From then on, the app or service you shared them with is responsible for them.

What the app accesses

ezDone only uses what a feature needs, when you use it:

• Camera: to scan documents. Photos are processed on the device and stored only in the app.
• Photos: to import pictures you pick. ezDone only receives the photos you choose.
• Contacts: only when you save a scanned business card, to add that contact.
• Files and the share sheet: to import and export the documents you choose.

Text recognition

On iPhone and iPad, text is recognized on the device by Apple's built-in Vision framework. On Android, it uses Google's ML Kit, which also runs on the device. Your images and their text are never sent to us.

On Android, ML Kit may send Google anonymous statistics about how the feature performs, as described in Google's ML Kit terms. It never sends your images or text.

Purchases

ezDone Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details, name or email address.

Apple and Google send us notifications about purchases, renewals and refunds with the product, price, country and anonymous transaction identifiers. We use them only to keep track of sales and to help if you contact us about a purchase. They pass through our hosting provider (Vercel) and reach us through a private alert channel (Telegram).

No analytics, ads or tracking

The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share data. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may give us anonymous crash reports, which we use only to fix bugs.

How long data is kept

Your documents stay on your device until you delete them or delete the app. Deleting the app deletes all its documents, and we cannot recover them. Purchase notifications are kept only as long as we need them for our accounts and legal obligations.

Security

Your documents are protected by your device's built-in encryption and passcode. Passwords you add to exported PDFs are used only to protect those files and are not stored.

Children

ezDone is a general audience app. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because the app collects no personal data, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about your data, or want to use your rights under laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR, email ezdoneio@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
