PDFs carry the documents that matter: contracts, payslips, medical letters, bank statements, identity papers. They are also the files people most often need to compress, sign or merge in a hurry, which is how they end up on a random website that promises to delete them later.

The twelve tools
For organizing: compress a file or a batch of 50, merge up to 20 documents, split by page ranges or every N pages, and extract specific pages using visual thumbnails. For editing: sign with a drawn or typed signature, stamp a text or logo watermark, and redact content so it is genuinely removed rather than covered.
For getting content out: extract all text as plain text, export the images embedded in a document as PNG files, and list every link with its page number. And for changing form: convert pages to PNG, JPEG or WebP images at up to 216 DPI.

Compression and redaction, done properly
Most of a large PDF is embedded images, so the compressor re-encodes and downsamples those rather than rasterizing pages. Your text stays vector and selectable, which is why a compressed file still behaves like a document instead of a stack of pictures.
Redaction is the other place where the implementation matters. Drawing a black box over text hides nothing: the words remain in the file and can be copied straight out. Here, each page you mark is rebuilt as a flat image with the boxes burned in and its original text discarded, while untouched pages keep their real text.
What to know before you start
Each tool takes files up to 200 MB, with batch limits of 20 files for merging and 50 for bulk compression. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first, because an encrypted file cannot be rewritten reliably.
Scanned documents are images of pages, so text extraction returns nothing for them unless the scan already has a text layer added by optical character recognition, which these tools do not perform.

Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Every tool reads, modifies and saves the file inside your browser.
What is the size limit?
200 MB per file, with batches of up to 20 files for merging and 50 for bulk compression.
Can I sign a PDF legally?
You can add an electronic signature, which is accepted for most everyday agreements. Certificate-based digital signatures are a different mechanism and need a trust service provider.
Does redaction really remove the text?
Yes. Pages containing a redaction are rebuilt as images with the black boxes burned in, so the original text is not in the exported file.
Can it handle password-protected files?
Remove the password first. Encrypted PDFs cannot be rewritten reliably.
Will compression blur my text?
No. Only embedded images are re-encoded; text stays vector and selectable.
